Mark Deck, Conference Chair and Director - PRTM Enterprise Co-creation Practice

Mark Deck is a Director at PRTM Management Consultants and leads the Enterprise Co-Creation practice, focused on helping clients tap the power of co-creation to innovate their products, services, operations, and processes.  Mark is also the 2002 Past President of the Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) and co-founder of the PDMA Body of Knowledge. He is a regular contributor to forums on product development and innovation, making presentations, chairing, and conducting conference workshops on a wide variety of product development topics.

Mark has 32 years of consulting experience focused principally on the management and development of new products and services.  For 12 years of his 16 years at PRTM, he led the firm’s innovation and product development practice, expanding the PACE® best practice reference model to include product lifecycle management and open innovation.   He also spent 30 months working in Shanghai, supporting PRTM’s growth in Asia, leading client work focused on global innovation and development, and helping Chinese based companies to accelerate the growth of their innovation capabilities.

He holds a M.S. in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in mathematics from Syracuse University.

Matt Johnston, Co-Founder - Kinetic Fin

Matt Johnston is a visionary marketing executive, transmedia technologist, and Co-Founder of Kinetic Fin, a digital agency and social experience design studio in NY. With a background in applied mathematics, Matt has run marketing and strategy teams for public and private technology companies, including a multiple Emmy-nominated and Emmy-award winning ITV studio. He is a frequent speaker and has presented at Harvard Business School and Babson College on the subject of collaborative entrepreneurship.

Idris Mootee, CEO - Idea Couture and Editor-in-Chief - M/I/S/C

Idris is currently the CEO of Idea Couture Inc., a global strategic innovation firm that helps organization to use applied design thinking to rethink and reinvent competition.
Current clients include LG, Liberty Insurance, Aviva, MIT, TD, Kraft and Pepsi. Most recently he was Senior VP, Global Chief Strategist at Blast Radius (a WPP co.) with clients include Nike, Starbucks and BMW. Before that he was global head of strategy at Organic (an Omnicom co.) with clients include Target, Macyʼs and Chrysler; Chief
Strategist for CBIZ e-Solutions (Nasdaq: CBIZ) and Chief Strategy Officer of Live Lower and Partners (an IPG co.).
He received his business education from London Business School, Harvard Business School, Brunel University Graduate School and Ivey Business School. He was quoted in publications including the WSJ, Knowledge-in-Wharton and NY Times. Mootee has addressed over 100 global conferences; private executive events and summits have also advised government leaders on matters of innovation policy, entrepreneurship and industrial competitiveness. He is currently developing design thinking and innovation executive program in
conjunction with Harvard GSD for senior business executives to be launched late 2011.
